After a long time, India has a Prime minister who appears convincing and apparently has a large following across all strata of the society. The main reason for his large following is his oratory skill, his ability to communicate, to connect with the people, the target audience. Communication skills are one of the major factors which can make or mar a leader. True meaning of freedom…..

Today the nation (India) celebrates the 72nd Independence Day with traditional gaiety and fervour. The Prime Minister in his address to the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort gave this mantra to bring about positive changes in the nation “ Reform, perform, transform”. It set me thinking, isn’t it the duty of every citizen to work for the betterment of the nation and actively participate to bring in the required transformation.

Confidence provides the best security….Wear it always….

 I came across this interesting caption while driving “The best protection for a woman anywhere is her confidence”. Well, it does make lots of sense, in fact I will go a step ahead and add that confidence gives complete security. Security is not just related to physical security/ safety against attacks but also emotional and financial security.   It is not just true for woman but for anyone and everyone It is the confidence you carry which will see you through anywhere and everywhere.

Stay positive….You are born to excel not to ‘just fit in’….

My son is in the final year of his B Tech pursuing a course in computer Science and Engineering. The fourth and final year is most crucial, in the sense that at the start of the session itself major companies start scouting for interns as well as for regular employment through college placement. This is normally the first time the young budding graduates face the interviews for placements. Every student wishes to get a suitable placement as per his calibre, but they all know in their heart that not everyone will be successful through campus interviews (rather a large majority may not get what they are looking for).

Success….Write your own story….

People have no patience, always impatient to get results, do not want to through the paces of decision making and making a choice. Everyone wants to taste success but most do not want to go through the paces required to reach the destination. They look for shortcuts or manipulations in the desire to get the results at the earliest. There are students who want to get maximum marks without studying and understanding the concepts from the prescribed books (they prefer to cram up the answers from the guide books available off the shelf) while there are others who want to achieve success by just being in the good books of teachers.

Invest in friends…..Get constant positive returns…. 

Friendship is the only relationship one makes by choice. It transcends all boundaries, there is no discrimination of gender, class, caste, region, religion, colour or age. Friendship is all about two people clicking, commonality of thoughts and attitudes is what develops it into an everlasting bond. Two friends may or may not be related by blood; siblings, cousins, spouses, neighbours, classmates, colleagues in office or fellow passengers in the same train daily, there is no limit. Today, a friendship may even start online and flourish. It is all about developing a comfort level where two people are willing to care and share without expectations.

Get the colors back….Celebrate life……

India is a country of many festivals. We love to celebrate and the entire calendar is dotted with various festivals nearly equally spaced out through the year. Holi and Deepawali are two of the major festivals celebrated across the country with great fervour. What makes these two festivals different from others are the colors (Holi) and the lights (Deepawali). Actually, it is the color which adds to the beauty of these two special days; the colours used in Holi and the colorful lights of Deepawali.
